URI Men's Cross Country Places 13th At Atlantic 10 Championship

Click here for full 2007 Atlantic 10 Championship results PHILADELPHIA -- The University of Rhode Island men's cross country team placed 13th overall at the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championship, held at Belmont Park in Philadelphia today. The Rams compiled 349 points en route to their 13th place finish. La Salle captured the team title, with 39 points. Leading the way for the Rams this afternoon was Ryan Karweil. He placed 67th overall, covering the five mile course in a time of 27:41.0. Ryan Moore was the second URI finisher, placing 82nd in a time of 28:02.0. Chris Bienkiewicz was 110th in a time of 28:44, while John Cuoco was 114th overall, clocking 29:01.0. Matthew Gallagher rounded out the Rhody scorers, in 121st place (29:17.0). Nathan Rucharmes (122nd, 29:23.0), Stephen Salisbury (132nd, 30:58.0), and Jaymeson Kumm (134th, 31:04) rounded out the URI finishers. Duquesne's Tom Slosky took individual honors in a time of 25:39.0.
